Beret No. 2 is a classic beret in in fisherman’s rib. The decorative shaping adds that something special, to make it unique, whilst being incredibly fun to knit.
Beret No. 2 is worked front the bottom up in the round.

SUGGESTED NEEDLES
2.5 mm [US 2] circular needles (40 cm [16 inches])
3 mm [US 3] circular needles (80 or 100 cm [32 or 40 inches])
Optional: 3 mm [US 3] double pointed needles
Remember that the needle size above is merely a suggestion. Make sure to work a swatch before beginning to achieve the right proportions.
GAUGE
In fisherman’s rib pattern using 3 mm [US 3] needles.
18 sts / 50 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Note, 50 rows are counted as 25 knit stitches in fisherman’s rib.
